Welcome to Verduras Tea. We are a tea house that serves loose leaf, specialty tea from a certified tea specialist (Specialty Tea Institute). We are also vegetarian, serving soups, salads and sandwiches with most options available or are vegan (soon will have breakfast items and appetizers).
Why Tea?
Tea is a very social drink. It is something to be shared. When you envision a pot of tea, images of a group of friends or family come to mind, talking, drinking, and sharing not only the pot, but their lives. Teahouses predate coffeehouses and have been the home for inspiration and innovative if not downright revolutionary thought, even in the West. So ingrained into some cultures, elaborate rituals have arisen in China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan for tea. Tea can also be private and relaxing. It can provide a special moment to be alone with your thoughts, even in public.
The proper preparation of tea is an art.
